The revised draft of the Law on the Protection of Women's Rights and Interests was submitted to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress for deliberation three times on the 27th. With regard to the violation of women's labor and social security rights and interests, the third review of the revised draft clarifies the regulatory responsibilities of relevant departments, stipulating that if an employer infringes on women's labor and social security rights and interests, the human resources and social security departments can unite with trade unions and women's federations to interview the employer, supervise according to law and require it to correct within a time limit. The third review of the revised draft also stipulates that trafficking in and kidnapping of women are prohibited; It is prohibited to buy women who are abducted, trafficked or kidnapped; It is prohibited to obstruct the rescue of women who are abducted, trafficked or kidnapped. People's governments at all levels, public security, civil affairs, human resources, social security, health and other departments, villagers' committees and residents' committees shall, in accordance with their respective responsibilities, promptly find and report, take measures to rescue women who have been abducted, trafficked or kidnapped, and do a good job in the resettlement, rescue and care of the rescued women. In case of violation of the above provisions and failure to fulfill the reporting obligation, the directly responsible person in charge and other directly responsible persons shall be punished according to law.
