Voice from the army's literary and artistic front: Make greater efforts to write a strong military story

After listening to the report of the General Assembly, I was very encouraged and proud, and more clearly defined my responsibilities and future direction. In 2009, I came to Xinjiang from Beijing to work and live, and I met many honest and sincere border guards. I was surprised that the strong wind blowing between heaven and earth in the far reaches of Xinjiang could give my body and heart such a happy and thorough cleansing. I understand what I want to do and must do - to pick up the chisel of words and mine out the rich ore of life. Driven by this desire, I went to many border defense companies in Xinjiang one after another, and collected many moving stories about places that were rarely visited in fresh words. As a military writer, I feel that as long as more readers can see the stories of these lovely officers and soldiers, I will do my part. Moreover, in order to make more readers feel touched and shocked, it is not enough for us to only have good wishes, but also need firm will and solid action. I still remember that in 2015, I had the honor to have an interview with Mr. Xu Huaizhong, listening to him talk about his fighting years and how to write it into the novel "The Story of the Wind" as the material. I understand more and more that an excellent military writer must be able to see, hear and smell to finally gain insight. Although we must suffer for "seeing", compared with those older writers who have experienced life and death in the smoke of gunpowder, the "suffering" in our eyes is really nothing. In 2016, I was honored to attend the 10th Congress of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the 9th National Congress of the China Writers Association. At the opening ceremony, President Xi pointed out that literature and art in any era can only make a deafening sound if they closely maintain and share weal and woe with the country and the nation. For literature and art, thoughts and values are the soul, and all forms of expression are carriers to express certain thoughts and values. In the frontier guards, between the words they wrote, they just reflected a kind of lofty thoughts and concepts. If I want to write well about border guards, I must first go to the bunkers they dug and built to listen to their thoughts and feelings, and experience their emotions face to face. At the same time, I am also thinking that only by making the form of expression more consistent with the values that I want to express, can we really tell the story of border guards. As Xu Huaizhong said in the interview, "The battle without a rear side for more than a year has been tempered and tested by life and death, which makes my resume a glorious page and a precious treasure for literary creation. The question is where to start writing? After the West Front Anecdote, there has been some awakening in the creation. I understand that it is not that you can enter the creation without fear if you have experienced any battle." That is to say, it is not enough to just learn to "bear hardships", but also to be able to apply artistic ingenuity to creation, and use your brain to make the stories and characters in writing truly vivid, credible and respectable. Between reality and literary and artistic creation, there is a layer of paper, only the accumulation of meditation and
