The healthy growth of minors, which is the concern of millions of households, is naturally the focus of the procuratorial organ's work. Recently, Na Yanfang, the director of the Ninth Procuratorate of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, told reporters that the procuratorial departments for minors across the country will fully implement the spirit of the Twentieth National Congress of the Communist Party of China and escort the healthy growth of minors with high-quality procuratorial work. After the case was transferred to the Procuratorate of Yuhang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, Wu Wendi, the prosecutor handling the case, found in Xu's mobile phone that in addition to Fangfang, there were naked photos and videos of other murdered girls. Subsequently, the procuratorial organ filed a public prosecution to the court for the crime of child molestation. In April 2020, Xu was sentenced to four years and eight months in prison for indecency against children. The criminals were punished as they should have been, but Wu Wendi was reluctant to let go of one problem - Fangfang registered an account on the short video platform and released videos, while Xu chose "prey" based on the videos he pushed through the short video platform according to his browsing preferences. What worries us is that we don't know how many children like Fangfang will be targeted by the Internet "Big Wolf". This is not alarmism. According to the data provided by the short video platform, by 2020, the number of real name registered users of the platform under 14 years old is about 78000, the number of real name registered users between 14 and 18 years old is about 620000, and the number of registered minors under 18 years old is about 10 million according to the basic dimensional models such as avatar, profile and background. The behavior of this short video platform has caused many children's personal information rights and interests to be violated, which has seriously damaged the social and public interests. As designated by the Supreme People's Procuratorate, on December 2, 2020, the Yuhang District Procuratorate filed a civil public interest lawsuit against a Beijing company to which the short video platform belongs. After court mediation, both parties reached a mediation agreement on the basis of confirming relevant factual evidence.
