Financial statistics released by the People's Bank of China show that in the first three quarters of this year, China's RMB loans increased by 18.08 trillion yuan, an increase of 1.36 trillion yuan over the same period last year. In September, RMB loans increased by 2.47 trillion yuan, an increase of 810.8 billion yuan over the previous year. As of the end of September, the balance of domestic and foreign currency loans in China was 216.55 trillion yuan, up 10.7% year on year; The balance of RMB loans was 210.76 trillion yuan, up 11.2% year on year, 0.3 percentage points higher than that at the end of last month. By sector, household loans increased by 3.41 trillion yuan in the first three quarters, including 1.09 trillion yuan in short-term loans and 2.32 trillion yuan in medium and long-term loans; Loans to enterprises (institutions) increased by 14.48 trillion yuan, including 3.28 trillion yuan for short-term loans, 8.65 trillion yuan for medium - and long-term loans, and 2.5 trillion yuan for bill financing; Loans from non banking financial institutions increased by 22.4 billion yuan.
