Wang Zixu said that promoting and protecting children's rights is an important part of the international human rights cause. The international community must view the cause of children from the strategic perspective of human society's inheritance, development and progress, and adhere to the promotion and protection of children's rights in development. Wang Zixu said that, first of all, achieving peace is the best protection for children. The international community should abide by the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations, adhere to the norms for the peaceful settlement of international disputes, create a safe and stable international and regional environment, and spare children from the scourge of war and instability. Second, seeking development is an important support for promoting children's growth. The Chinese government calls for accelerating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, eliminating child poverty by promoting economic development in developing countries, and ensuring children's rights to life, development, health and education. Third, international cooperation is an important starting point for promoting the development of children's cause. China calls on all countries to further strengthen policy communication and experience exchange in the field of children, so as to create a good environment for the healthy growth of children around the world through practical actions. Wang Zixu said that China has 250 million children. The Chinese government has always adhered to the strategy of giving priority to the development of children. It has taken legislative, administrative and judicial measures to effectively protect the rights of children. It has worked hard to improve the level of children's welfare, narrow the gap between urban and rural areas and between regions in children's development, and promote the healthy and comprehensive development of children. China has constantly improved its legal system for the protection of children's rights.
