PetroChina announced today (9th) that Fuman Oilfield, the largest ultra deep oil field in China, located in the hinterland of Taklimakan Desert, has produced more than 10 million tons of oil and gas, marking that China's ultra deep oil and gas have entered a new stage of large-scale development. Tarim Oilfield, where Fuman Oilfield is located, is the third largest oil and gas field in China and the main gas source of West to East gas transmission. In the first nine months of this year, 24.69 million tons of oil and gas were produced, a net increase of one million tons on a year-on-year basis, the highest level in the same period in history.
