The reporter learned from the Supreme People's Court that over the past ten years, the People's Court has adhered to the strictest system and the strictest rule of law to protect the ecological environment, given full play to the role of environmental and resource adjudication, and concluded 1.965 million environmental and resource cases. The crime of destroying the ecological environment was severely punished, and 244000 criminal cases of environmental resources were concluded; We fully relieved environmental civil rights and interests, and concluded 1.378 million environmental and resource civil cases; Support and supervise the performance of duties by administrative organs, and conclude 343000 environmental and resource administrative cases; We implemented environmental responsibility for valuable and damage, and concluded 15800 environmental public interest litigation cases; We investigated the liability for compensation for ecological environmental damage in accordance with the law, and concluded 335 cases of compensation for ecological environmental damage. In the past ten years, the People's Court has deepened reform and innovation: the Supreme People's Court has set up a special environmental resources tribunal and approved the establishment of environmental resources tribunals in Nanjing, Lanzhou, Kunming, Zhengzhou and Changchun. In combination with the actual needs of ecological and environmental protection, courts across the country have established 2426 special environmental and resource judicial institutions or organizations, and a specialized judicial organizational structure covering four levels of courts has been basically completed.
