2022-09-23
[History/Details] This banyan tree introduced today was planted in 1808, facing the historical building built at the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China at No. 97, Shamian North Street. It used to be a townhouse in Changli and a private house after the founding of the People's Republic of China. In 2017, this camphor tree suffered from trunk inclination, tree pool cracking and ground subsidence. After being reported for approval, the District Greening Center promptly arranged personnel to prune, reduce weight, install supports and repair the tree pool. Now the tree has been successfully discharged and is growing well. [Basic information] [Location information] Address: Cuizhou Community Neighborhood Committee, Shamian Street, Liwan District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, from the east to No. 97, Shamian North Street
