The 121st China Laos Myanmar Thailand Mekong River Joint Patrol and Law Enforcement Action Launched

The reporter learned from the Public Security Department of Yunnan Province that on the morning of September 20, the 121st China Laos Myanmar Thailand Mekong River Joint Patrol and Law Enforcement Operation was officially launched with three Chinese law enforcement boats sailing from Jingha Wharf in Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. In this operation, the law enforcement departments of the four countries, China, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand, sent 6 law enforcement boats and more than 100 law enforcement officers to conduct a 4-day and 3-night joint law enforcement patrol in the Lancang Mekong River related waters in a "non-contact" manner. During the operation, Laos will award the Lao People's Army the Medal of Courage or the Medal of Friendship to 37 Chinese collectives and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to China Laos Myanmar Thailand Mekong River joint patrol law enforcement and China Laos law enforcement cooperation and exchange.
