On the afternoon of September 19, Premier Li Keqiang held telephone talks with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh at Ziguangge, Zhongnanhai at request. Li Keqiang expressed that China and Vietnam are friendly neighbors connected by mountains and rivers. China is willing to strengthen exchanges at all levels and deepen practical cooperation in all fields with Vietnam, which will not only benefit the two peoples, but also help maintain regional peace and stability and promote common development and prosperity. Li Keqiang pointed out that the current world economic recovery is weak, and various uncertainties and complex factors are intertwined. Under the impact of unexpected factors, China's economy is withstanding the downward pressure, making efforts to stabilize employment and prices, maintaining a reasonable range of operation, and generally showing a recovery trend. China is pleased to see Vietnam's steady economic growth, which is also conducive to the stability of the East Asian industrial chain supply chain. We are willing to give play to the complementary advantages of Vietnam's industries, expand economic and trade cooperation, ensure smooth customs clearance at border ports, expand the import of marketable high-quality Vietnamese agricultural products, welcome Vietnamese students to "return as soon as possible" and increase direct flights between the two countries on the premise of doing a good job in epidemic prevention. Li Keqiang stressed that peace and stability in the South China Sea are in the common interests of all parties. China is willing to take the opportunity of the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea with ASEAN countries to strive to reach an early "Code of Conduct in the South China Sea", give full play to the wisdom of all parties, focus on the overall situation, promote cooperation, manage differences, and build the South China Sea into a sea of peace, friendship and cooperation. Fan Mingzheng said that consolidating and developing Vietnam China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership is the top priority of Vietnam's foreign policy. The Vietnamese side is willing to maintain regular high-level exchanges with China, strengthen strategic coordination, properly handle differences, and promote Vietnam China cooperation in key areas such as trade and investment, customs clearance, and people to people and cultural exchanges, so as to bring more positive results to bilateral relations. Xiao Jie participated in the above activities. (Liu Xinshe)
