China's colleges and universities have the advantages of a large number of talents and orderly organization, and they are the national strategic force for scientific and technological innovation. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the overall level of science and technology in China's colleges and universities has been greatly improved, which is where we have the confidence and confidence to seize the opportunity of a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial change. But we should also see that there is still a certain gap between the scientific research work of colleges and universities and the requirements of the country and the expectations of the people, which is highlighted by the fact that the scientific research achievements are not closely linked with the needs of social and economic development and the major strategic needs of the country, and there is no significant degree of reflection in solving the major problems of national and regional development. In a word, the advantages of scientific research in colleges and universities need to be further developed. Therefore, colleges and universities must accelerate the promotion and strengthening of organized scientific research to provide strong support for achieving self-reliance in high-level science and technology and accelerating the construction of the world's important talent center and innovation highland. The purpose of organized scientific research is to aim at the frontier of international science and technology and the major needs of national development, and in the spirit of "the needs of the country and our wishes", work hard to achieve major original innovation breakthroughs, and work hard on the basic theory and key technologies to overcome the "choke" problem, so as to enhance the strategic significance of scientific research. Organized scientific research should face the national regional innovation development strategy, and give play to the role of universities in gathering and driving regional human resources and scientific and technological resources. Organized scientific research should focus on improving the core competitiveness of industry development. Colleges and universities should take the initiative to strengthen docking with industry departments and leading enterprises, and promote in-depth cooperation between industry, university and research. Strengthening organized scientific research is one of the key words of the 14th Party Congress of Peking University.
