Recently, Navoi City, the capital of Navoi State in central Uzbekistan, continued to experience high temperatures, but the PVC production line of Navoi Nitrogen Fertilizer Co., Ltd. was still busy: with the flexible action of the robot, 25kg PVC on the conveyor belt rushed out and was placed orderly one by one, and then was transported by forklift to the railway container and truck container outside the packaging workshop. Li Siju, a Chinese engineer, introduced to the reporter that the production line produces PVC 24 hours a day without interruption. The automated packaging robot can pack 40 bags of PVC into 8-layer cubes in three minutes. The PVC production complex project in Uzbekistan is an important project to promote international production capacity cooperation under the "the Belt and Road" initiative. It is an important achievement of international production capacity cooperation between China and Uzbekistan. It is jointly undertaken by CAMCE and Shanghai Huanqiu contracting & Engineering Co., Ltd. The project was officially started in September 2016 and put into operation on December 28, 2019. It can produce 100000 tons of PVC, 75000 tons of caustic soda and 300000 tons of methanol annually. The relevant products can not only meet the domestic demand of Uzbekistan, but also be exported to surrounding countries and markets. President Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, when attending the completion and production ceremony of the project, said that the project would change the situation of dependence on imports of PVC, caustic soda and other products in Uzbekistan, not only creating a large number of jobs, but also driving the development of related chemical industries. Uzbekistan hopes to continue to cooperate with Chinese enterprises on other landmark capacity projects. Li Jinwei, General Manager of the Fifth Engineering Division of CAMCE, told reporters that as the first PVC production plant in Uzbekistan, the project is a major chemical project successfully completed and put into operation in Uzbekistan in recent years, which is of great significance for promoting the economic and related industrial development of Uzbekistan and Central Asia. It is reported that the PVC products produced in this project have won high recognition in the international market due to their excellent quality, and the market demand is huge. In recent years, with the rising price of PVC in the international market, Uzbekistan has further increased its product exports. While achieving good economic benefits, the project has also trained a number of new industrialization talents for Uzbekistan. Kamolidin Asadov, deputy general manager of PVC production complex of Navoi Nitrogen Fertilizer Company, said that after the project was put into operation, China selected more than 30 local technicians to learn the latest production technology and management process in China. At present, these technicians have become technical experts, and some of them have been assigned to management posts. Ogier Djemirov, Chairman of Navoi Nitrogen Fertilizer Company, was very satisfied with the cooperation between the teams of the two countries. He said that this project is a key cooperation project between Uzbekistan and China, and also the starting point of the company's modernization. Since the project was put into operation, a large number of new jobs have been created, filling the gap in the market and having important economic and social significance. The company hopes to continue to strengthen cooperation with Chinese partners to promote the modernization of Ukraine's chemical industry. Anri sharapov, associate professor of Uzbek University of world economics and foreign affairs, said that Uzbekistan is an important partner of China in carrying out the "the Belt and Road" construction and production capacity cooperation in Central Asia.
