In Zhanjiang Donghai Island Petrochemical Industrial Park, the first unit of BASF (Guangdong) integrated base project was officially put into operation, and another unit producing thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) will be put into operation in 2023. By 2030, BASF will invest up to 10 billion euros to build the base. In the Daya Bay petrochemical zone of Huizhou, the construction of ExxonMobil Huizhou ethylene project has been accelerated in an all-round way. The Hengli PTA project with a total investment of 15 billion yuan has completed the infrastructure construction, and the CNOOC product structure optimization and quality upgrading project is steadily advancing. In Jieyang Dahai Petrochemical Industrial Park, the 800000 T / a styrene unit four unit heat exchanger of Guangdong petrochemical refining and chemical integration project has been put into commissioning and installation, and the project construction has fully entered the final stage. With the accelerated construction of one major petrochemical industry project after another, Guangdong has gradually formed an industrial system from upstream oil refining and ethylene production to downstream synthetic materials, rubber processing and fine chemicals. The world-class green petrochemical industry cluster has accelerated its rise in the coastal economic belt. The total investment is about 10 billion euros?? It will become the third largest integrated production base of BASF. As the first wholly foreign-owned project in China's heavy chemical industry, the BASF (Guangdong) integrated base project has a total investment of about 10 billion euros and is independently constructed and operated by BASF. The value chain integrated by the project will connect upstream and downstream production devices from basic chemicals to consumer goods, providing support for growth industries such as consumer goods and transportation. After completion, the base will become BASF's third largest integrated production base in the world, second only to Ludwigshafen in Germany and Antwerp in Belgium. Specifically, the BASF (Guangdong) integrated base project includes a steam cracking unit with an annual output of 1 million tons of ethylene and more than 40 sets of middle and downstream units, mainly focusing on the middle and downstream industries such as petroleum smelting by-products, chemical products and chemical by-products, and focusing on the production of engineering plastics and fine chemical products that BASF has its own intellectual property rights and meet the needs of the South China market. Among them, the first unit will produce engineering plastics and thermoplastic polyurethane, which will meet the needs of customers in many growing industries in South China and the whole Asian market. In the next stage, BASF will focus on building the core of the integrated base: a set of steam cracking units and a number of downstream units producing petroleum chemicals and intermediates. By 2030, BASF will invest up to 10 billion euros in the construction of Zhanjiang integrated base, which will provide solutions for local and multinational manufacturers in South China for industries such as automobile, construction, high-speed rail, electronics and electronics, food packaging, home and personal care, aerospace and pharmaceuticals. In fact, the high efficiency and smooth progress of BASF (Guangdong) integration project is leading in the construction of major petrochemical bases in China and even the world, which fully proves that Guangdong not only has a good atmosphere of openness and cooperation, but also has a business environment to attract international investment. Looking back at the progress of the project, we can see "Guangdong speed" everywhere. In July 2018, BASF signed the first memorandum of understanding on integrated base with the Guangdong provincial government; In January 2019, the two sides signed a framework agreement to further clarify the planning details of BASF's establishment of an intelligent integrated base in Guangdong; January 2019
