"Lack of oxygen can not lack spirit!" In March this year, on the first day of stepping on the plateau of northern Tibet, I and four teammates of the medical aid team for Tibet solemnly made a commitment to the snow covered Nianqing Tanggula Mountain range. The first impression of bange County in Tibet is that it is cold and oxygen deficient, remote, sparsely populated and difficult to see a doctor. With a sense of mission of military doctors, we set up a camp in the people's Hospital of bange County, and started the journey of standing on the "roof of the world". "A villager suddenly suffered from an emergency and asked the experts of the medical team for first aid!" One night, I suddenly received an emergency call from the hospital. Without a moment's hesitation, I took the first-aid equipment and medicine box and rushed to buba village, more than 80 kilometers away from the county. I came to the home of the villager ZhaxiDunzhu. After careful consultation, I was initially diagnosed as acute gastroenteritis. After symptomatic medication, ZhaxiDunzhu's condition gradually improved. When I left his house, a large snowflake suddenly flew in the night sky. The cold wind blew on me and made me shiver. The colder the weather, the more inspired my fighting spirit: "it is because of the difficult environment that we are needed here!" Two days later, when I went to the countryside for a visit, I specially came to ZhaxiDunzhu's home. When I saw that his body had recovered, I felt a sense of achievement. Not long after, when ZhaxiDunzhu went to bange County People's Hospital for recheck, he specially found me and said: "jinzhumami, please let tujiche (PLA, thank you)!" In this way, ZhaxiDunzhu became a "distant relative" of mine in Tibet, and he also became the resident liaison of the medical team for Tibet. The villagers need door-to-door treatment in case of emergency, so they can contact us through him. With the warm contact of ZhaxiDunzhu, the relationship between our Tibetan medical team and the villagers of buba village has become closer and closer. The villagers no longer need to worry about seeing a doctor. They often say, "our village is now a 'military civilian joint construction village'" In addition to carrying out daily medical assistance, I also led the members of the medical aid team in Tibet to specially formulate a tour plan for the local elderly groups. With the support of bango County People's Hospital, we started a round-trip tour. In more than two months, we have visited more than 20 villages in Xinji Township, Maqian Township, Qinglong Township, Deqing town and other townships in bange county. It is a long way to go on the inspection tour. We went day and night to overcome dizziness, lack of oxygen and other physical discomfort, and sent the diagnosis and treatment services to the door of farmers and herdsmen. It was only during the statistics that we found that we had driven more than 3000 kilometers, visited 49 households of farmers and herdsmen, and provided door-to-door treatment for more than 20 elderly Tibetans with mobility difficulties. It was another late night. At 2:30 in the morning, the medical team members who had been on patrol in various townships finally returned to the camp. At this time, the outdoor temperature dropped below zero degrees Celsius, but our hearts were always warm: our "plateau 120" opened up the "last kilometer" for local people to send them to the hospital and make a "healthy road" with our efforts.
