How to make the new curriculum standard of AI education come into effect quickly? Hangzhou Binjiang cooperated with Tencent education and Guanghai technology to carry out AI teacher training

With the release of information technology curriculum standard for compulsory education (2022 Edition), artificial intelligence, as a necessary component of information technology curriculum, has entered the classroom scene, and artificial intelligence education in primary and secondary schools has entered a new stage of accelerated implementation. On August 17, Binjiang District Education Bureau, together with Tencent education and Guanghai technology, held an artificial intelligence teacher training. Information technology teachers from some schools in Binjiang District and on-site experts exchanged views on how to build a high-quality, low-cost and perceptible artificial intelligence education classroom for primary and secondary schools. Subsequently, on August 19, at the summer reading and thinking meeting of Binjiang District Education System cadres and the work deployment meeting for the new academic year, Xu Xiaobo, an expert on the review of Local Curriculum textbooks for primary and secondary schools in Zhejiang Province, Yan Yuqing, a senior consultant of Tencent education, and other guests shared their views on the high-quality and rapid implementation of the artificial intelligence education system for primary and secondary schools. Virtual simulation technology, enabling visual AI education, as an advanced technology relying on computers, the relevant knowledge of artificial intelligence is often abstract and theoretical, which is difficult for primary and secondary school students to understand. Feng zuyang, President of the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of Binjiang District Education Bureau, pointed out that in the daily teaching of information technology courses, there is often a lack of experimental equipment suitable for the content of artificial intelligence education. The simple theoretical output makes it difficult for students to understand, and the perception of artificial intelligence is not high. In the teacher training, Zhao tianzhe, senior teaching and Research Manager of Tencent education, specially introduced this issue. AI is everywhere in life, and machine learning is the foundation of artificial intelligence. For machine learning, Tencent youth artificial intelligence platform aims at students of different grades, and simplifies and encapsulates complex AI technologies into different levels of content. In the information technology curriculum standard, the decision tree is a classic artificial intelligence algorithm. For the primary school stage, the platform designed the "wolf or rabbit" decision tree project to guide students to classify wolves and rabbits by using the combination of face, ear and tooth features, and compare the classification effects based on different features, which paves the way for subsequent higher-level learning; For the high school stage, in addition to the cases corresponding to the curriculum standards and teaching materials, the platform combines the Chinese subject content of the high school stage and designs the interdisciplinary integration project of "seal character recognition", which not only integrates the knowledge of neural networks in AI, but also helps students deepen their understanding and interest in Chinese ancient characters. Tencent virtual simulation laboratory has attracted the interest of President Feng. He said that the cost of hardware equipment required for artificial intelligence education is high. If the equipment can be "moved" to the computer screen by virtual simulation, the cost pressure of artificial intelligence education in schools will be greatly reduced. In order to solve the problem of high cost of artificial intelligence education hardware, Tencent moved its self-developed robot dog robotics x Max into the platform's virtual simulation laboratory. According to Chen Peike, senior lecturer of Tencent kouding, the platform not only retains the real characteristics of Max, but also carries out educational design based on teaching and competition scenes. Its actions are all controlled by the programs written by students. In the specific operation, students need to complete the route planning algorithm design, obstacle avoidance algorithm design and target recognition algorithm design through graphical building blocks, and control Max to complete walking and turning in the 3D simulation environment
