Three days after the promulgation of the guiding opinions on accelerating scene innovation and promoting high-quality economic development with high-level application of artificial intelligence, on August 15, the Ministry of science and technology published the notice on supporting the construction of a new generation of artificial intelligence demonstration application scenarios (hereinafter referred to as the notice), which is intended to accelerate the promotion of artificial intelligence applications, help stabilize the economy and cultivate new economic growth points. The notice points out that we should persist in facing the world's scientific and technological frontier, the main economic battlefield, the major national needs, and the people's life and health, give full play to the role of artificial intelligence in enabling economic and social development, support a number of well-established artificial intelligence application scenarios around the construction of a full chain and full process artificial intelligence industry application ecology, strengthen the cooperation between upstream and downstream research and development and the integration of new technologies, and create a batch of replicable Scalable benchmarking demonstration application scenarios. Ten demonstration application scenarios were supported in the first batch. The first ten demonstration application scenarios include: smart farm, smart port, smart mine, smart factory, smart home, smart education, automatic driving, smart diagnosis and treatment, smart court and smart supply chain. The notice also mentions that the Ministry of science and technology will take the achievements of national science and technology projects as the main basis, and the national new generation artificial intelligence innovation and development pilot zone as the main support, give full play to the role of national new generation artificial intelligence open innovation platform enterprises, and select a number of demonstration application scenarios to support the construction. The science and technology departments (commissions, bureaus) and pilot areas of all localities recommend to the Ministry of science and technology the demonstration application scenarios to be supported for construction.
