Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China has taken innovation as the first driving force for development, comprehensively implemented the innovation driven development strategy, made major breakthroughs in many innovation fields, and entered the ranks of innovative countries. Since 2013, China has launched several high-resolution satellites. The photos taken by these satellites can be used to observe the subtle changes in China's territory. Through the continuous observation of Gaofen satellite, we found that in the past few years, Shenzhen Qianhai was one of the areas with the largest changes in urban spatial morphology in China. In 2012, it was still a muddy beach; Over the past ten years, buildings containing innovative codes have been growing steadily. In Qianhai Shenzhen Hong Kong youth dream factory, 601 entrepreneurial teams from Shenzhen and Hong Kong completed incubation here, including 331 Hong Kong teams; Less than 2 kilometers away from DreamWorks is Qianhai Shenzhen Hong Kong International Financial City. Less than a year after its launch, 195 financial institutions have signed contracts here; Not far away, China (Shenzhen) intellectual property protection center has nearly 500 patent applications completed on average every working day. The increasingly perfect innovation system drives the rapid development of Qianhai economy. In 2021, this land of only 120 square kilometers has created a regional GDP of 175.57 billion yuan. In the past decade, the number of national independent innovation demonstration zones has increased from 3 to 23, and the number of high-tech enterprises has increased from 49000 more than a decade ago to 330000 in 2021. Today, searching for the word "innovation" on the navigation software will get a total of more than 50000 destinations. In the past ten years, they have accelerated their expansion from the eastern coastal areas to the central and western regions, and now they have spread all over the provinces, autonomous regions and cities of the country. The vitality of innovation is surging and strong. Where does the impetus come from? We collected the "12th Five Year Plan" and "13th five year plan" science and technology plans of 31 provinces, autonomous regions and cities, and analyzed the data of 62 documents with more than 1.5 million words. We found that the frequency of the word "innovation" increased from 3484 times in the "12th Five Year plan" period to 7793 times in the "13th five year plan" period; The frequency of "basic research" increased from 184 to 300. Over the past decade, China's basic research funding has increased year after year, and in 2021, it was 3.4 times that of 2012, accounting for the highest proportion of the whole society's R & D investment. The unprecedented attention paid by the state to basic research has accelerated the implementation of large scientific devices. Satellite images have witnessed the changes in this decade.
