Recently, the Yichuan County Procuratorate of Shaanxi Province held a public hearing on public welfare litigation cases concerning the safety hazards such as damage of some public fitness equipment and exceeding the safe service life, which aroused the public's attention and heated discussion. In the middle of July this year, the cadres and police of Yichuan County procuratorate found that some public fitness equipment arranged in the county, Yunyan Town, Qiulin town and other squares were damaged and rusted, parts were loose and fell off, and the safe service life was exceeded. Through in-depth investigation and judgment, these fitness equipment that "take the post with illness" have potential safety problems, which seriously affect the fitness safety of citizens and the construction of urban civilization. In order to safeguard social and public interests and eliminate potential safety hazards, Yichuan County procuratorate immediately filed a public interest lawsuit, supervised the rectification of problems, held public hearings, and publicly delivered procuratorial suggestions to relevant functional departments. At the hearing, the procurator in charge introduced the basic case, investigation and verification to the representatives of Yichuan County People's Congress, CPPCC members, people's supervisors and the education, science, technology and Sports Bureau of Yichuan County who were invited to participate in the hearing through PPT, and elaborated on the contents of the procuratorial suggestions. After a detailed understanding of the case, the hearing members unanimously supported the procuratorial organs to formulate and issue pre litigation procuratorial suggestions for administrative public welfare litigation to relevant functional departments after discussion. Yichuan County Procuratorate on the spot sent procuratorial suggestions to the education, science, technology and Sports Bureau of the county, suggesting that the Bureau organize special inspections, implement daily maintenance responsibilities, do a good job in the maintenance, scrapping and updating of fitness equipment, and timely eliminate potential safety hazards.
