On August 10, in order to explore the transformation and upgrading of Yunfu stone industry and promote the new situation of Yunfu's economic development, the research group of the Yunfu development achievement observation group of the 2022 summer social practice activity "three rural trips" of Guangdong University of Finance and economics went to Yuncheng district of Yunfu City to conduct relevant research and put forward professional opinions for the development of Yunfu stone industry. In the meeting room of the Municipal Bureau of industry and information technology, Huang Hua, vice president of the school of Finance and taxation of Guangdong University of Finance and economics, Qiu Ruyun and Hu Wenshen, members of the stone research team, held a forum with Yunfu development and Reform Bureau, Yunfu Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Yunfu Municipal Bureau of science and technology, Yunfu Municipal Bureau of industry and information technology and other departments. From the perspective of the government, the research team learned the important role of the stone industry in the economic development of Yunfu and the many problems faced by the current development. The stone industry is the pillar industry of Yunfu City. After decades of development, the output value of Yunfu stone industry has gradually increased, and the regional brands have gained considerable popularity. However, some existing problems have seriously hindered the transformation and upgrading of the stone industry. First of all, small and medium-sized enterprises developed savagely due to the lack of leading enterprises. It is difficult for stone enterprises to build their brands, and the enterprises have insufficient power to "go out" to build their reputation; Second, the business environment of the stone industry needs to be improved. Yunfu needs to strengthen and improve its policies on taxation, land planning, financial loans, talent introduction, etc., to create a good development environment for "stone people" and help the transformation and upgrading of the stone industry. Third, the stone industry is low in science and technology, and the digital transformation is limited. Yunfu stone industry has exquisite craftsmanship and great market competitiveness. However, in terms of enterprise digital scale and transportation, the operation and processing costs are not superior to those of stone enterprises in Shuitou and other places in Fujian. After the forum, Li Yuan, section chief of Yunfu Bureau of Commerce, and pan, Secretary General of Yunfu Stone Industry Association led the investigation team to visit stone enterprises. The visited enterprises included three stone enterprises, namely Huazhong stone industry, Baijia international and Haina industry. During the visit, the person in charge of the enterprise spoke freely and frankly about the problems raised by the investigation team. From the perspective of the enterprise, the research group felt the importance and expectation of "stone people" for the development of Yunfu stone industry. Through various forms and rich contents of research and learning activities, the research group has gained a lot and benefited a lot. The preliminary success of the research activities can not be separated from the strong support of government departments and Yunfu stone enterprises, which reflects the concern and attention of Yunfu government and enterprises to the transformation and upgrading of the stone industry. Members of the stone research group all said that they should seriously grasp the opportunity of this research, improve their learning ability, strengthen practice and exercise, and fully show what they have seen, thought and gained from the research.
