Since I have gone to Guangzhou, I will certainly go to Shamian for a walk. It's just summer in Guangzhou. The weather is really changeable. Just now it was sunny, and soon it rained. However, since I have arrived at the place, I can't flinch from the rain. Walking in the rain is another romance. Transportation: it is very convenient to get to Shamian subway. Get off at exit F of Huangsha station and exit a of Cultural Park station. This time, you get off at the Cultural Park Station, cross the road, and then cross a small bridge. With an area of 0.3 square kilometers, the sand surface is an island in the Pearl River. It was once called shicuizhou. Because it is a sandbar formed by the alluvial deposition of the Pearl River, it is called the sand surface. The place is not big, but the environment and architecture are unique. It has eight streets and lanes. In the song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was an important trade center and tourist destination at home and abroad. After the Opium War, it became a British and French concession after the 11th year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1861). Shamian island has eight streets. Three horizontal streets from south to north are Shamian South Street, Shamian street and Shamian North Street, and five vertical streets from east to West are respectively Shamian 1st to 5th Street. It is known as the "Museum of European architecture". The narrow river channels surrounding the East, West and north of Shamian Island were artificially dug in those years. Walking into the sand surface, we find that there have been changes. The original walls have been removed, and the streets are clean and tidy. In the middle is a flower garden, and on both sides are old buildings half covered by ancient trees, adding a mysterious color. Walking here in summer also feels a bit cool. Surrounded by ancient trees, it is full of green. Architecture: it just rained. Although it was a weekend, there were not many people. The Church of Our Lady of the Catholic Church in Lude is a good place for wedding photos. In the past, more than n couples took photos here. This time, only one couple met by chance. It may also be due to the heavy rain. The virgin Church of Lude Catholic Church was originally a building in the French concession, formerly known as the Shamian Catholic Church. It was named after the original building of a virgin mountain on the south side of the church garden, where the statue of the virgin of Lude was placed. It was established by the religious friends of the French Consulate in Guangzhou to live a religious life. Shamian Christian Church is a church set up by the Anglican Church in the British concession of Guangzhou in Shamian for foreigners to worship. It was built in 1864 on the fifth street of Shamian because of its special architecture. It is a rare Christian building in Guangzhou that has been preserved for 100 years. There are more than 150 European style buildings in different shapes, but they are arranged neatly, which is very close to the architectural style of Gulangyu in Xiamen. Each building has its own introduction. Since I have been taking pictures, I find that I can't distinguish them clearly. There are many cafes here. You can sit down and rest when you are tired and feel the sand surface quietly. With the change of history, there is an exotic Shamian. Each of the remaining buildings has its own story.
