The 55th ASEAN foreign ministers' meeting and its series of meetings were successfully concluded in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, on June 6. The meeting adopted about 30 regional cooperation documents. Cambodia is the rotating chair of ASEAN in 2022. At the press conference after the meeting, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and foreign minister bla sokhun said that the foreign ministers of ASEAN countries reviewed the progress made so far in strengthening ASEAN community building, promoting regional integration and strengthening cooperation between ASEAN and external partners. The ASEAN foreign ministers also expressed their commitment to ensuring the implementation of the regional comprehensive economic partnership agreement to enhance ASEAN's attractiveness to trade, investment and global supply chains. The 55th ASEAN foreign ministers' meeting and a series of meetings were held in Cambodia from July 30 to August 6, including the China ASEAN foreign ministers' meeting, the ASEAN China Japan ROK foreign ministers' meeting, the East Asia Summit foreign ministers' meeting and the ASEAN Regional Forum foreign ministers' meeting. During the meeting, 19 meetings at different levels were held. Foreign ministers and representatives from 38 countries participated in the meeting, and about 30 regional cooperation documents were adopted and approved, covering politics, security, economy Social and cultural fields. ASEAN consists of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. (news agency)
