China calls on all countries to practice genuine multilateralism

Geng Shuang, Deputy Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations, made a speech at the informal briefing of the General Assembly on the follow-up to the report on "our common agenda" on the 4th. He hoped that UN member states would practice genuine multilateralism, safeguard common security and achieve common development. Geng Shuang said that as the rotating president of the Security Council in August, China will propose to hold a meeting on "strengthening dialogue and cooperation and safeguarding common security" on August 22. China expects Member States to take this opportunity to think deeply about what kind of security concept the world needs and how to achieve common security.
