Macao's public departments resumed normal operation on August 2, lifting the ban on food in the hall and other epidemic prevention measures
2022-08-02
On August 1, the chief executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region issued an instruction that since there had been no community infection cases in Macao for 9 consecutive days and the results of the 14th round of national nucleic acid testing were negative, the risk of novel coronavirus transmission was significantly reduced. From August 2, 2022, the epidemic prevention measures of closing beauty salons, indoor playgrounds, bars and other venues and catering places that cannot eat in the hall will be lifted. The instructions also mentioned that the Macao health authorities would require all personnel to wear masks when they go out by means of guidelines. Restaurants, bars, beauty salons, fitness centers and other venues shall require customers to show the nucleic acid sampling certificate within three days when providing services. The Macao SAR Government thanks the general public for their understanding, support and cooperation in various epidemic prevention measures since the outbreak of the epidemic on June 18. We hope that everyone will work together to maintain the epidemic prevention situation of "dynamic clearance". On the same day, the administrative and public service bureau of the Macao SAR government also issued a circular letter to all public departments, requesting that public departments resume normal operation from August 2.
