The Spanish Ministry of health confirmed on July 30 that the country had a second death case of monkeypox. According to the Indian Express, a 22-year-old male patient returned to Kerala from the United Arab Emirates on July 22. He was hospitalized with fever on July 26. After his illness worsened, he was transferred to another hospital for treatment and died on the afternoon of July 30. Kerala Health Minister George told local media on July 31 that the patient was hospitalized with encephalitis and fatigue symptoms and had no monkeypox symptoms. However, the patient had been tested for monkeypox virus in the United Arab Emirates before flying to Kerala, and his family handed the positive test results to the local hospital on the 30th.
