From July 25 to 26, the on-site promotion meeting for high-quality development in ethnic areas in Guangdong Province was held in Liannan Yao Autonomous County, Qingyuan City. The provincial Party committee and the provincial government have always attached great importance to ethnic work, especially the high-quality development work in ethnic areas, and issued a series of policies and measures to effectively promote the high-quality development of ethnic areas in our province. The author learned from the meeting that according to statistics, in the first half of this year, the GDP of Ruyuan, Liannan and Lianshan regions were 5.256 billion yuan, 2.91 billion yuan and 1.767 billion yuan respectively, with year-on-year growth of 2.6%, 4.6% and 4.5% respectively. The author learned from the meeting that in terms of industrial drive, our province will support ethnic areas to vigorously develop provincial modern agricultural industrial parks with local characteristics, such as silk seedling rice, big leaf tea, alpine vegetables, southern medicine, etc; Support the planning and construction of provincial industrial parks in three autonomous counties; Actively promote the construction of "Lingnan cultural and tourism corridor with national characteristics"; Support ethnic minority areas to create a number of A-level scenic spots and create a number of tourist resorts; Support the development of prefabricated vegetable industry in ethnic areas and drive the people of all ethnic groups to increase their income and become rich. In terms of strengthening infrastructure construction, our province will actively promote the construction of Guangzhou Qingdao Yong high-speed railway as soon as possible, and support the construction of key transportation infrastructure such as the direct airport in ethnic areas and the expressway in the Pearl River Delta; Strengthen the construction of rural road network in the county, accelerate the improvement of rural water supply system, and strengthen the co construction and sharing of infrastructure. In addition, our province will also come up with a series of practical measures to promote the equalization of basic public services in ethnic areas, promote the implementation of key projects, and improve the counterpart assistance mechanism. The meeting also proposed that Guangdong would improve the normalization linkage mechanism, formulate a list of key projects for high-quality development in ethnic areas, and include them in the annual key supervision items of the provincial government. At the same time, we will further establish and improve the supervision, inspection, assessment and evaluation system, and incorporate the effectiveness of assistance work at all levels and departments into the provincial performance assessment of promoting the Rural Revitalization Strategy.
