The planning period is from 2021 to 2025. The plan proposes that during the "14th five year plan" period, Guangdong will fully complete the three-year action of geological disaster prevention and control, explore and build a comprehensive prevention and control system with the dual control management of "hidden danger points + risk areas" as the main line, so as to realize the "monitoring and elimination of hidden danger points", the "scientific division and effective control" of risk areas, and prevent and resolve geological disaster risks to the greatest extent, We will promote the transformation of geological disaster prevention and control from disaster loss reduction to disaster risk reduction. Guangdong Province is one of the provinces with serious geological disasters in China due to its many hills and mountains, undulating terrain, complex geological structure, strong rainwater erosion and the impact of human engineering activities. According to the plan, Guangdong will realize the full coverage of 1:50000 geological disaster risk investigation and evaluation zoning in the province, organize and implement the refined investigation and evaluation of 100 key towns in the key prevention and control areas, and basically find out the base number of geological disaster risks and hidden dangers in the province. The plan specifies that our province will improve the meteorological risk early warning and prediction system of geological disasters in the province, explore and build a grid group measurement and prevention system combining "points, lines and areas", promote the universal professional monitoring of hidden danger points, deploy the construction of a number of control monitoring points in high-risk areas, further improve the monitoring and early warning system combining groups and experts, and significantly improve the accuracy and timeliness of geological disaster early warning. At the same time, we will fully implement the comprehensive treatment measures for the registered geological disaster hidden points in the province, timely start the comprehensive treatment of the newly discovered geological disaster hidden points, realize the "monitoring and elimination of hidden points", and remove more than 180000 threatened people.
