By the end of June, the number of people insured for basic endowment insurance, unemployment insurance and work-related injury insurance in China was 1.04 billion, 233 million and 286 million respectively; The number of social security card holders nationwide reached 1.36 billion, covering 96.3% of the population. At present, the national plan for basic endowment insurance for enterprise employees is being steadily implemented, and the system is running smoothly. In the first half of the year, the human resources and social security department increased the national overall allocation of funds to support provinces with fund difficulties, and synchronously adjusted the basic pension level of retirees from enterprises, organs and institutions, so as to effectively ensure the basic livelihood of retirees. At the same time, we actively promoted the endowment insurance for urban and rural residents to be fully insured. In the first half of the year, a total of more than 16 million people with difficulties paid the endowment insurance premiums for urban and rural residents, and 172000 eligible fishermen from key waters participated in the basic endowment insurance. In the next step, the Ministry of human resources and social security will continue to improve the national overall planning and supporting policies for basic endowment insurance for enterprise employees, formulate a fund allocation plan for 2022, and do a good job in fund allocation, so as to further unify and standardize the endowment insurance policies of all provinces. At the same time, we will work with relevant departments to formulate supporting policies and determine the pilot cities of the individual pension system.
