2022-07-07
In the first half of 2022, efforts to take out, research and development of prefabricated vegetables, and construction of supply chain have become measures for catering enterprises to adhere to and save themselves. In the second half of the year, how should catering enterprises recover? How about the business situation of Beijing's catering industry? For this reason, the reporter visited Haidilao, jiumaojiu and other catering enterprises. The reporter visited many popular business districts in Beijing and found that many restaurants have resumed their former bustle. A Haidilao staff member located in the Xihongmen Business District of Daxing District told the reporter of Securities Daily: "although there are more and more guests queuing at present, the turnover rate is about 3 times / day, which is still lower than before." In an interview with the Securities Daily, a relevant person from Haidilao said that changes in the external environment affect enterprises at all times. For example, affected by the previous epidemic, some areas have suspended the catering industry, which has brought challenges to the normal development of the catering industry. Catering enterprises need to think about how to adapt to changes in the external environment, better tap or meet consumer demand, and ensure the normal operation of enterprises; From the perspective of internal governance, business decisions are not unchanging. We should focus on the long term, adapt to changes at any time, and make adjustments. Guolian Securities said in its report that Haidilao, the king of hotpot track, was too optimistic about the expansion against the trend, which affected the turnover rate and passenger unit price; At present, the company is actively launching the reform plan, focusing on existing stores and seeking performance improvement, but the implementation and effectiveness of measures still need time. It is worth noting that some large and medium-sized chain catering enterprises are as optimistic as Haidilao, and they still have not stopped the pace of expansion. Data show that in 2021, yum China opened 1806 new stores and closed 524 stores. As of December 31, 2021, the total number of Yum stores in China has reached 11788. According to the plan, yum China will net add about 1000 to 1200 new stores in 2022, and increase investment in supply chain, infrastructure and digitalization. In addition, Helens has a net increase of 431 stores. Although the number of brand stores under jiumaojiu has been rapidly reduced from 143 in 2019 to 83 in 2021, the opening speed of its sub brand has been significantly accelerated, of which 117 are new. In an interview with the reporter of Securities Daily, the relevant person in charge of jiumaojiu said that this year, a store expansion plan has been formulated for "Taier" and "cong". At the current stage, the core focus is the expansion of shopping malls and business districts. At the same time, the store opening plan will be flexibly adjusted at any time according to the market situation. Different from the above catering enterprises, Xiabu Xiabu is still in pain. Xiabu Xiabu has closed 229 loss making stores and opened 95 new stores, including 52 Xiabu Xiabu stores and 43 Cobb together stores. By the end of 2021, Sipu Sipu had a total of 1024 stores, including 841 Sipu restaurants and 183 scrape together restaurants. "In the next three years, Sipu Sipu plans to add 500 stores, and the first tier, new first tier and provincial capital cities will be the first main battlefield; the high-end hot pot brands will also be deployed at the rate of 80 to 100 new stores every year." The relevant person in charge of Xiabu Xiabu told the reporter of Securities Daily. As for how the catering industry will develop in the second half, Zhu danpeng, a Chinese food industry analyst, said: "with the normalization of epidemic prevention and control, both national and local governments and the catering industry have rich experience in responding to the epidemic, so the impact on the entire catering industry will not be too great, and the catering industry will also enter a relatively stable and rapid recovery node."
