Ziguang zhanrui completed the first 5g R17 IOT NTN satellite on the Internet of things in the world
2022-07-05
Ziguang zhanrui announced that ASN in 3GPP 5g R17 version 1 at the time of official freezing, on June 21, 2022, Ziguang zhanrui and Beijing Penghu Wuyu Technology Development Co., Ltd. took the lead in completing the world's first 5g Satellite Internet of things based on R17 IOT NTN standard. It is reported that the satellite Internet of things terminal used in this test is based on the development of purple light zhanrui IOT NTN chip. Through the L-band satellite, the communication networking test has been completed on the pre commercial base station, and the data transmission has been realized. The satellite used in the test is a commercial geosynchronous orbit mobile communication satellite located 36000 kilometers above the equator. Ziguang zhanrui has overcome the technical difficulties faced by the test terminal, such as long time delay and large attenuation. Under the condition that the communication distance with the satellite is up to 38000 kilometers, it has successfully completed the communication processes such as broadcasting, access, data transmission, and realized the networking test of multi terminal access and concurrent communication services. The satellite IOT test terminal used in this satellite launch measurement has a transmission power of 23dbm, which is the same as that of mobile phones, which means that the terminal developed based on Ziguang zhanrui IOT NTN chip has the advantages of low power consumption, miniaturization, lightweight and other ease of use, and can be widely used in a variety of IOT scenarios. It home learned that compared with R16 standard, R17 standard will cover vertical industry capabilities more comprehensively, further enhance basic capabilities such as edge computing and network slicing, and take into account user experience assurance, business model and other issues. As one of the main contents of rel-17 standard, redcap (reduced capability) realizes 5g network service capability for medium and high-speed IOT scenarios, and further expands 5g application scenarios and solutions.
