"Senior young man" chenshaoqi: It was music that chose me to exercise well in the face of opportunities The social account profile of the famous musician chenshaoqi is "senior young people". He has written more than 3000 songs, and supervised 500 or 600 songs. He is the lyricist of songs such as song of the setting sun, when the wind rises again, Cinderella and the traffic light. He has been making excellent works for many years; He has worked as a music producer, concert director and film producer; At the same time, he is also a photographer, painter and model enthusiast. His wide range of interests and boundless vitality make many young people in their twenties sigh that they are beyond their reach. He was also one of the first Hong Kong entertainers to come to the mainland for development. From the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong's return in 2007, the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the 2010 Shanghai WorldExpo, the famous musician chenshaoqi has witnessed the progress of the country with his creation. At the moment of the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland, Chen Shaoqi brought the song "before" and a series of micro films "departure 2022". How will this never-ending "senior young man" look back on his decades of creative career? As a Hong Kong man who has lived in the mainland for more than 10 years, how does he view the relationship between the mainland and Hong Kong? Here is his account. For decades, I have only done one thing: creating I am 57 years old. In recent decades, I have only done one thing, that is, creating. I always think I am a lucky man. The first layer of luck is talent. For me, creating is a bit like a pre installed program for a mobile phone, as if I had brought it with me at birth. When I was seven or eight years old, I began to find a box at the bottom of the arcade as a desk. I filled the songs of foreign bands such as the Beatles and carpenter with Chinese words. The words and rhyming were well-organized. When I was a child, I loved to draw cartoons. After drawing, I "forced" my brothers and sisters to listen to my stories while watching. When I was a teenager, I earned money to buy my first film camera and began to take photos. The second layer of luck is luck. My family is not well off. But I was the youngest of the four brothers and sisters. After my brothers and sisters came out to work, they reduced the financial burden on my family and gave me the freedom to choose work. I never thought about what I could do to make more money. By chance, I was known by everyone because of music, so they positioned me as a musician. But I have always been a horizontal development person. I have never stopped photographing, painting and modeling. Although these things do not make money, I enjoy them very much: I have held art exhibitions and photography exhibitions, but my works are not for sale; I spent three years making a miniature model of Kyoto, Japan, which was just completed last year. Even in the field of music, I have many different identities. Basically, there are no jobs I have never done. Lyrics writing is my starting point in the music industry. When I first entered the music industry in the 1980s, Hong Kong music was called the "shining time of stars": brother Sam (xuguanjie) wrote grass-roots songs excellently, Mr. zhengguojiang's lyrics had a beautiful artistic conception, Mr. linzhenqiang was good at writing very profound love songs, and Mr. Lu Guozhan's words "the earth is at my feet" (the theme song of the 1986 TV drama "Qinshihuang") vividly wrote the emperor's arrogance. But I have always had an idea that artistic creation should make something different. So my predecessors' influence on me is "negative". I avoid the way they have gone and make my own characteristics. It's really difficult to find a way among the experts, but now it seems that I have done it. Some netizens commented that my lyrics have a sense of film and city, which is true. For example, I wrote "traffic lights", "falling on the wrong bus" and "breaking up is always on a rainy day". The pictures in the lyrics, such as watching the traffic lights cross the road, getting off the wrong bus stop, and meeting old lovers at a rainy street corner, are very urban. In a period of time, relatively few people wrote about this urban style. I have my own creative method. For each song, I will find a creative motivation first. I was not proficient when I first entered the industry. I will write a copy first. Let's take the traffic light as an example. This song wants to use the traffic light to compare the feeling of hesitation in love. I will first write what each paragraph should express. Read it after writing. If you think it is attractive enough, you can start to write these contents into lyrics. When I write too many lyrics, I can only list the main points; When I write about 1000 poems, the main points are already in my mind, so I don't have to write a copy. Write a life diary for a singer with music I like long-term cooperation with singers. After knowing a person, you can write a song for him. No matter whether the song is popular or not, it must be easier to "integrate people and songs". The traffic light was tailor-made for Zheng Rong. She is petite. I think she can interpret the little girl's feeling of worrying about gain and loss in her relationship very well. If this song is sung by "Gao Mei" such as chenhuilin and liangyongqi, it will not be convincing. Sometimes, I even feel like I'm using music to write a life diary for my singer friends. For example, when she was 23 years old, I wrote "I love" for her, making "Wen Qing" her label; When she was 25, I wrote her 25; When she had emotional problems, I wrote her a love song for myself. Another example is Jacky Cheung. It is said that I wrote him the most lyrics, 109 in total. I have written so many songs, some of which make me feel mixed. The first is the song of the sunset written for sister Mei (Anita Mui). This song is a cover of the same Japanese song as chenhuixian's qianqianque song. The lyricist of the latter is linzhenqiang. Although I "wrote on the same topic" with him, I don't feel pressure. In fact, there were threeorfour versions of cover songs in the Hong Kong music world at that time. In addition to the two most familiar songs, blue jeans also produced one version. I wrote two editions of song of the setting sun. The first version is an ordinary love song about breaking up between men and women. But two or three days before the recording, Mei Jie said that she had just received "Heroes 3" directed by Tsui Hark and wanted to recommend this song to the director, but the lyrics had to be rewritten. I used one day to get out the new lyrics, which wrote the inner struggle of the Jianghu elder sister played by sister Mei in the film. What I thought and wrote at that time were movie characters. Who would have thought that more than ten years later, sister Mei chose this song as her farewell song at her last concert. In her last public performance, I sat in the first row and watched her sing "song of the sunset" in her wedding dress. That kind of feeling has gone beyond discomfort and can't be expressed in words. The other is when the wind rises again, written to his brother (Leslie Cheung). This is the theme song of his farewell concert. One day, I had dinner with him and his mentor Li Xiaotian in Central Hong Kong. At that time, I thought of the words "when the wind rises again" in a second. It was like someone told me behind my back that my brother's famous song was "the wind continues to blow". Now that he is retired, I might as well write a song "when the wind rises again". After listening to it, my brother soon hummed out the chorus. He hummed while lixiaotian remembered. In less than 20 minutes, the song was basically formed. Lixiaotian immediately sorted out a simplified score and copied it for me to fill in the words. So when I wrote the lyrics, I didn't even have a demo (sample album), which is quite rare. In the lyrics, there is a sentence "I hope to send me off with warm applause", but I didn't expect that in 2003, I witnessed the scene of my brother's hearse driving out, and the fans on both sides of the road applauded and cried to see him off. There is also a song "left to the most beautiful person in the world" written for Luo Wen. After he left, people often use this song to send him off. I still remember that I took many photos of him on that album. When writing songs, I never thought that such a sad thing would happen in the future. The lyricist sometimes seems to make a prophecy, but in fact, he feels bad. In those years, I witnessed old friends leave one by one and superstars fall one by one. Now I still feel very sorry to listen to these songs again. Hong Kong music is not dead, new people need a spotlight Over the past 20 years, many people like to say that "Hong Kong music is declining" or even "Hong Kong music is dead", but things can not be seen in this way. The reason why Hong Kong pop music was so brilliant in the 1980s and 1990s is that we started early, so it can radiate to the whole country. Superstars such as Leslie Cheung and even became popular in Japan and South Korea. Through objective analysis, Hong Kong's popular culture received disproportionate attention - at that time, Hong Kong had only 5million people, but almost all China and East Asia were listening to Cantonese, a language that can only be understood by reading subtitles. Later, with the gradual development of local music circles, there was no need to listen only to Hong Kong pop songs. So it's not that Hong Kong music is dead, but that the spotlight has shifted to other places after the millennium. I think Hong Kong has never left the stage, but for a long time, we have become dancing in the dark, invisible to others. "Hong Kong music is declining" is arrogant: we can't compete with the market, but if we compete with the quality of songs, Hong Kong may not lose. Nowadays, Hong Kong music is more flourishing, and it is no longer the world of "fish and egg songs" (songs that are easy to import but have no connotation). To some extent, the contemporary young people even do better than us: because they could earn money by making music in those years, they should do well; But now the market is in the doldrums, and the return rate of making music is lower, but they still insist. If the spotlight shines again, you will find that Hong Kong musicians are still excellent. For example, a few years ago, Hunan Satellite TV put the spotlight on dengziqi, and she was seen; Now the program "sound never stops" focuses on Yan Mingxi and Zeng bit, who have also been seen. In recent years, there has been an upsurge of "nostalgic Hong Kong Style" among young people in the mainland. Many people listen to Hong Kong's old songs. I think there are several reasons: on the one hand, it is because of aesthetic fatigue. To be honest, many songs in recent years are quite routine and repetitive, and the public will be tired if they listen to them more. However, we haven't paid attention to Hong Kong Music for a long time. If we suddenly hear old songs like "song of the sunset", we will feel very fresh - of course, this also proves that what we did in those years really stood the test of time. On the other hand, it is the guiding role of the media. From last year's "rising moon in the bay area" party to this year's "endless sound", Hong Kong music has once again become the protagonist of the stage. Hong Kong has returned to the motherland for the 25th anniversary. Now I see the light on Hong Kong music again. I hope this "spotlight effect" can make Hong Kong music go further. Writing songs for the 2008 Olympic Games and the Shanghai WorldExpo in the mainland I came to the mainland around 2005 for many reasons: first, several superstars in Hong Kong fell one after another; Second, I have seen the rise of mainland music since super girl; Third, I am a bit "greedy" in my creation, hoping to leave some footprints in the mainland market. When I came to the mainland, I was in my 40s. If I continued to stay in Hong Kong, I would not worry about food and clothing depending on the royalties and the work there. However, I have the mentality of "collecting flash cards" and hope that singers from different times and places can sing my songs. I always think there are many excellent musicians in the mainland. When I heard yaobeina singing, how could I not want to cooperate with her? So I offered to invite Disney to sing the Chinese theme song let it be; Later, when I heard that Mao was not easy to sing "Xiaochou", I thought he sang very well, so I invited
