2022-06-22
Children's health concerns family happiness and the future of the nation. At present, how effective is the work of promoting children's health in China? What are the remaining problems? What is the next step? On December 21, the State Council's report on the work of promoting children's health was submitted to the 35th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress for deliberation. The report shows that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China's investment in children's health has been continuously increased, the policy system has been continuously improved, and the overall level of children's health has been significantly improved. The goals related to children's health in the China children's development program (2011-2020) have been achieved as scheduled. Children are in the period of growth and development, and the protection of children's medication has always been the focus of society. According to the report, China has issued several opinions on ensuring the use of drugs for children, issued three batches of 105 children's drugs to encourage research and development, and invested 574 million yuan in the major scientific and technological special project of "major new drug creation" to support the research and development of children's drugs and clinical research. We will strengthen key monitoring of children's drug use and encourage the construction of centralized production bases for children's drugs. With regard to the investment in children's health research, the report shows that the funds related to children's growth, development and disease prevention and control deployed by the national science and technology plan have increased from 75.61 million yuan in the 12th Five Year Plan period to 126 million yuan in the 14th Five Year Plan period. With regard to the inclusion of children's drugs in medical insurance, the report revealed that children's special drugs and applicable drugs accounted for 20.13% of the drug categories in the national medical insurance catalogue, and the 34 exclusive children's drugs newly entered into the catalogue through negotiation had an average price reduction of 55.6%. Children's healthy growth requires efforts to improve children's nutrition. The report points out that China has issued the national nutrition plan (2017-2030) and carried out relevant major actions. Since 2011, the nutrition improvement plan for rural compulsory education students has been implemented. The central government has allocated a total of 19.8 billion yuan in subsidies, benefiting about 38 million students each year. Since 2012, the nutrition improvement project for children in poor areas has been continuously carried out, benefiting 13.65 million children. Children's physical and mental health is the expectation of parents, and the mental health of children and adolescents can not be ignored. The report shows that China has integrated the mental health of children and adolescents into the healthy China action, strengthened the allocation of school mental health personnel, and promoted the construction of mental health service network. Focusing on depression and autism, explore appropriate prevention and treatment technologies and intervention models. The report also revealed that 1379 maternal and child health institutions throughout the country have provided mental health services for children, 318 prefectures and cities have set up psychiatric hospitals, and 2756 districts and counties have been able to provide mental health services, thus initially alleviating the shortage of basic level mental health services for children. However, while the promotion of children's health has achieved some results, the report also points out some problems that need to be paid attention to. For example, the overall myopia rate of children and adolescents is still high, the problem of overweight cannot be ignored, and the prevalence of scoliosis and autism is increasing; The phenomenon of "intergenerational rearing" is common; The shortage of children's medical service personnel and heavy work burden; There are still institutional weaknesses in children's medication, children's mental health, and child injury prevention and control. Protecting children's health means protecting the whole people
