Youth in the new era should be a practitioner of promoting altruistic spirit
2022-06-21
As the vanguard force in realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, the youth of the new era should hold the baton tightly at the youth track, be brave to struggle, shoulder the mission of the times, be mindful of the needs of the country and the interests of the people, actively temper their moral cultivation, and be a practitioner of promoting the altruistic spirit. "Altruism" should start from the small things around us The so-called "altruism" means doing more things that are beneficial to others. For the vast number of young people, we should first start from the small things around us. I often take the bus and see some interesting phenomena in the process of giving up my seat: when the passengers are not very crowded, if the old man who gives up his seat sees an empty seat, he will usually signal me to sit down. The old man who was offered his seat would also signal me to sit back before getting off the bus. Facing the kindness of the old man, I chose to continue standing. I think our young people should leave their seats to those passengers who need them more. When I said that I would not take a seat, the passengers standing near the empty seat would often not take a seat. Obviously, I wanted to leave it to the old, weak, sick and disabled at the next station. "Seat giving" is common. Many seat giving behaviors have been going on for decades. I have seen a lot, which has triggered my thinking on altruistic spirit. From Confucius' view of "acting in favor of interests and complaining more" to Lao Tzu's view of "the highest good is like water, and water all things without contention"; From Kongrong Rangli to Lin Zexu's "seeking to benefit the country's life and death, not avoiding it because of misfortunes and blessings", to Lei Feng's "traveling a thousand miles, doing good deeds makes a train", the words and deeds of these role models have always subtly nurtured the spiritual world of Chinese youth and buried the seeds of advocating altruism in our hearts. It is not difficult to see from the seat giving scene that, first of all, the existence of "altruists" makes the public goods allocation mechanism more warm. Young seat givers give away a small amount of utility while greatly increasing the utility of the seat givee, so that public goods can produce higher use efficiency. Secondly, the ratio of the number of "altruists" determines the height of social civilization. Just as seats can only be "reserved" when the seat giver realizes "cooperation" with others, we should strengthen the social publicity of altruistic spirit and constantly expand the altruistic team through imitation learning and moral constraints. The improvement of social governance level will also improve the identification accuracy of altruists. More and more mature technologies will clearly present the faces of altruists, and encourage more and more "economic people" to show the appearance of "moral people" through more sophisticated social order such as "time bank", so as to better feed back to the society. "Altruism" and "egoism" are dialectical unity Altruism seems to be helping others, but it is actually helping yourself. Once the social atmosphere of "I am for everyone" is formed, it will produce the social effect of "everyone is for me". In the ever-changing public space, "altruists" do not exclude personal interests, but will actively pay attention to the interests of others and the interests of the community, and voluntarily transfer personal interests when optimizing the objective function containing the above two interests. For example, in the early implementation of the "system" for rapid transit on one side of the subway escalator, there were always people who violated the regulations to block the passage. Because the "altruists" kept reminding or interfering with them, this "system" was more effectively implemented, and the "altruists" also benefited from it, that is, the average transit time was shortened. Altruistic spirit not only retains the distinct background of Chinese traditional culture, but also constitutes the micro basis for the synergy between individual interests and collective, national and even human interests advocated by Marxism, and reflects the dialectical unity between individual rationality and collective rationality, and between self and others. People should be encouraged to leave more "altruistic" time for themselves in their daily life and conduct more "altruistic" cooperation. If everyone can help and contribute more, our society will become more and more beautiful. Practicing altruistic spirit is the call of the times Altruistic spirit is one of the most valuable moral principles of mankind, full of dedication and sacrifice. "Altruism" means not only giving convenience and interests to others without seeking return, but also doing more useful things for the people, the party and the country. Chinese revolution and construction have always been inseparable from people with this spirit. For example, the 5.43 million migrant workers who volunteered to support the front in the Huaihai Campaign were the victories of the Chinese revolution with their carts. In the new journey of struggle, the Chinese Communists have always represented the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the people with the feelings of "no self" and the responsibility of "having me", never forgetting their original intentions and bearing in mind their mission. At the same time, the members of the United Front work together with the party, and the young people follow the party in pursuit of their dreams, holding high the banner of altruistic spirit. Starting from me and the small things around me, a social atmosphere of "giving roses to others, leaving lingering fragrance in your hands, and overflowing with fragrance" has been formed. It is the call of the times for the broad masses of young people to carry forward the altruistic spirit. We should learn from more than 410000 young students who have participated in the western program of College Students' voluntary service, so that they can practice the spirit of volunteerism and Lei Feng in exchange for the rapid development of education and other livelihood undertakings in backward areas in the West; We should learn from the more than 3 million first secretaries and cadres stationed in villages who worked hard in the front line of poverty alleviation. They practiced the spirit of poverty alleviation in order to get nearly 100million people out of absolute poverty; We should also learn from the countless scientific researchers, medical personnel, community workers, sinking cadres, volunteers, the people's Liberation Army and the public security police who have been or are fighting in the front line of the anti epidemic, so that they can practice the anti epidemic spirit in exchange for the safety and happiness of the people of the whole country. The lofty altruistic spirit is the benchmark of socialist ideological and moral realm. It encourages people to take "helping others" as their priority and "dedication" as their active pursuit. As a shining symbol of civilization, "altruism" will always be handed down from generation to generation in China Youth Center!
