The Serbian division of the 15th "Chinese Bridge" world middle school students' Chinese competition ended on the 4th in the northern Serbian city of sremsky kalovzi, with 15 middle school students from all over Serbia participating. The competition was hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Serbia and hosted by the Confucius Institute of Novi Sad University. The competition was held in the Confucius Classroom of kalovqi language high school. The competition is divided into primary group and advanced group, and consists of keynote speech, talent show, Knowledge Q & A and simulated Chinese interview. In his speech, Branko Stoikov, principal of kalovzi language high school, said that cultural exchange activities such as the "Chinese Bridge" are very important, which can not only promote mutual understanding between Serbia and China, but also help to enhance the interest of local young people in learning Chinese and Chinese culture. He expressed the hope that more relevant talents will be trained in the future to contribute to the development of friendly relations between Serbia and China. After fierce competition, Nada Simic (Chinese Name: Xi Xi) from Belgrade language high school won the title of senior group and will represent Serbia in the finals of the "Chinese Bridge" world middle school students' Chinese competition. Katarina zindovich from karlovzi language high school won the first prize in the junior group. Xi Xi said that she has studied Chinese for three years and is very interested in Chinese. This championship is an affirmation of her learning, and it is a spur to her to communicate with Chinese learners from all over the world on behalf of Serbia. (Xinhua News Agency)
