In recent years, with the development of the Internet, a large number of pop-up messages (hereinafter referred to as "pop-up messages") have appeared on the network, which frequently jump out and are difficult to close when consumers surf the Internet; Some pop-up, embedded and screen opening messages are vulgar, exaggerated and false propaganda, which not only disturbs the order of the Internet market, but also infringes upon the legitimate rights and interests of consumers. In order to promote the strengthening of the governance and standardization of Internet pop-up information and create a good online environment for consumers, the Guangdong Provincial Consumer Council focused on the concerns of consumers and carried out an investigation on the impact of Internet pop-up information on consumers from January to February this year in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, focusing on the theme of "jointly promoting consumption equity". This survey shows that nearly 80% of the respondents often encounter pop ups and are deeply troubled. The specific problems reflected are as follows: First, it is difficult to close. The respondents reported that the "close" sign of the pop-up information was not clear / significant, it needed to wait until the countdown was over (accounting for 35%), there were multiple "close" buttons, it needed multiple clicks to close, and there was no "close" sign. Second, it is easy to be late. Respondents reported that some pop-up windows of commercial advertisements did not indicate "advertising", and it was very easy to trigger jump by "shaking". Third, frequent occurrence. Respondents reported that on the same page, the pop-up window continues to pop up after closing, the number of one-time pop ups is too large, the position cannot be moved, or the size of the pop-up window is too large. Fourth, the content is false and vulgar. The interviewees reported that the pop-up information contained false propaganda, tricked people to click the pop-up, and the content was vulgar.
