The annual meeting of the world economic forum will focus on geo economic challenges
2022-05-19
The world economic forum announced on the 18th that the 2022 annual meeting to be held in Davos, Switzerland, will focus on the "unprecedented" geo economic challenges affecting the multipolar world, including the economic recovery after the COVID-19 and the crisis in Ukraine. The world economic forum released a press release on the same day, saying that the theme of the annual meeting is "historical turning point: government policies and business strategies", which will be held from May 22 to 26. Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the world economic forum, said that this annual meeting is a summit of global leaders under the multipolar world situation after the outbreak of the epidemic and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The annual meeting will focus on six topics: promoting global and regional cooperation, ensuring economic recovery and shaping a new era of growth, building a healthy and equitable society, protecting climate, food and nature, promoting industrial transformation and making full use of the fourth industrial revolution. The offline annual meeting was originally scheduled to be held in Davos in January this year, but was delayed due to the continuous uncertainty caused by the spread of the mutated novel coronavirus Omicron strain.
