On May 18, the mother ship of "zhuhaiyun" intelligent unmanned system was launched in Guangzhou. The ship is subordinate to the Guangdong Provincial Laboratory of southern marine science and Engineering (Zhuhai) (hereinafter referred to as "southern marine laboratory"), and it is planned to complete the marine navigation test and put into use by the end of this year. According to the relevant person in charge of China Southern Ocean laboratory, as the world's first intelligent unmanned system mother ship, "zhuhaiyun" has the functions of remote control and autonomous navigation in open waters. It will become a sharp weapon for China to carry out marine scientific research, expand marine science and help the development of marine economy. The construction of the intelligent unmanned system mother ship was started in July 2021. After the ship is launched, it will focus on the installation and commissioning of core equipment, intelligent system and unmanned system.
