The academic evaluation of liberal arts has distinct purpose and value, and the achievements of humanities are mostly presented in works. The evaluation of representative works has become one of the basic principles of liberal arts evaluation in the new era. Professor Jiang Chunlin of the Department of Humanities and social sciences of Dalian University of technology has done research on the evaluation of representative works. He lamented that academic evaluation is a highly complex and challenging work. In different evaluation scenarios, the evaluation index system will also be different. The evaluation method should serve the purpose of evaluation, and the effect is also affected by many factors. Yu Liping boldly pointed out that it is not appropriate to expand the scope of application of representative work evaluation at will, especially in macro evaluation, such as discipline evaluation, representative work evaluation is not recommended. Further refinement of classified evaluation is the prerequisite for the evaluation and application of representative works.
