Have an ideal in mind and a direction in life

"Ideal is a stone, knocking out a spark; ideal is a fire, lighting an extinguished lamp; ideal is a lamp, illuminating the road at night; ideal is a road, leading you to dawn." The first reading of "ideal" is in the Chinese textbook of junior middle school. I especially like the first four sentences, which outline the scene of people moving forward to a bright future step by step under the guidance of ideal. At that time, my ambition was to study hard, be excellent in both character and learning, and become a person who contributes to the society. From then on, ideal has become a guiding light in my growth. "Ideal is a compass that guides the ship; ideal is a ship that takes you to sea." When I read ideal again, I had graduated from high school and embarked on the journey of studying abroad with the expectation of my family. My goal is very clear: to be an excellent international student, to be a disseminator of Chinese culture, and to build a bridge between different cultures. After being elected as the vice president of the Chinese student union of the school, I and my like-minded partners jointly launched many activities to show the culture and style of the motherland with the help of the platform of the student union. We held a spring festival gala for foreign students and invited professors and students from different countries and cultural backgrounds to watch it. We won cheers on the scene with melodious traditional folk music, interesting two mouth crosstalk and gorgeous minority dance; We actively promote the school's "Chinese Corner" activities and organize Chinese exchange and experience activities regularly and regularly every week, so as to attract more and more foreign students to feel the charm of Chinese; During my study abroad, what I like most to give to foreign friends are Chinese tea and the "Guangfu culture handwritten letter" brought from Guangzhou, such as the small and exquisite tabletop screen of Guangzhou tower and lion awakening doll. These gifts have been unanimously praised and loved by my friends. "If an ideal brings you honor, it is just a by-product of it, and more of it brings misunderstood solitude, laughter in solitude and bitterness in laughter." Admittedly, the road of pursuing ideals will not be plain sailing. There are smiles and tears, successes and setbacks. In the early stage of my study abroad career, I need to improve my oral proficiency as soon as possible, adapt to the new environment and living habits, and keep up with the fast-paced academic progress; Being elected vice president of the student union also means more responsibilities. I have to spend energy and time to mediate the differences between Chinese students and school departments caused by cultural customs and differences in communication methods. During the organization of multiple rounds of discussions and exchanges between the two sides, sometimes I will be misunderstood and questioned by individual students, and even make me think of giving up. Whenever this time, I will read aloud "ideal" to cheer myself up. After gritting my teeth and overcoming difficulties, I was recognized for my academic efforts, won the academic scholarship of the University, and was elected as an undergraduate accounting assistant. After unremitting coordination and resolution of contradictions, I also won the full affirmation and respect of the school and foreign students. All these let me deeply realize that the tears at present are the foreshadowing of the future smile, the temporary setback is to accumulate experience for success, and the long road makes the firm ideal precious. The bright light and power that guide me out of the trough and inspire me to work hard are the ideals buried in my heart. It makes me more mature and more calmly meet challenges, solve problems and face life. "Ordinary people are great because of their ideals. Those with ideals are 'capital people'." When I wrote these words, I was studying for my second master's degree in Hong Kong. Although I have previously obtained a master's degree in management accounting from Cornell University, after an internship in a financial institution in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, I realized that China's financial market is opening up in an orderly manner and in line with international standards. In particular, the financial development of the Great Bay area is a multi-level and multi-objective complex system under the environment of one country, two systems, three tariff areas, three currencies, three sets of financial markets and regulatory standards, There is a greater need for compound international financial talents to participate. In this context, I finally decided to continue to systematically study the professional financial knowledge, pay attention to the application of what I have learned, and practice while reading. After graduation in June this year, I will officially devote myself to the financial cause of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay area, and strive to grow into a qualified "Bay Area financier" to achieve my new goal. Looking back on my growth experience, it is the poem "ideal" that has always given me spiritual strength, guided me in the direction of growth, encouraged me to keep moving forward, continued to advance by reaching one small goal after another, and finally realized my original intention and fulfilled my ideal - to become a person who contributes to the society. In this process, we should learn knowledge well, cultivate correct values, work hard and take every task seriously - these seemingly ordinary behaviors have built solid cornerstones on our way to the ideal, and let us "ordinary people" become "capital people" step by step in the process of realizing the ideal. Live up to the youth, the times and the people. I wish our contemporary youth can move forward with ideals and determination, "please take the horse of ideals and start from here. The spring is just right on the road and the sun is sunny in the sky"!
