Ukrainian President zelenski met with visiting UN Secretary General Guterres in Ukrainian capital Kiev on the 28th. The two sides discussed the evacuation of personnel in Mariupol and other issues. Guterres said that while promoting a comprehensive ceasefire, the United Nations will continue to strive to take practical measures to save lives. He said that the Mariupol Yasu steel plant is still under bombing. Uzbekistan is willing to hold "emergency talks" with Russia on the evacuation of Mariupol personnel, and hopes Guterres's participation will play an effective role in the evacuation of personnel.
