In 2021, a teleconference was held in Beijing on the rectification of problems found in the assessment and evaluation of the effective connection between consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation and Rural Revitalization. Hu Chunhua, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice premier of the State Council, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Hu Chunhua pointed out that we must make good use of the assessment results and pay close attention to the implementation of problem rectification. We should strictly compact the rectification responsibility, clarify the rectification requirements and time limit, and list and supervise the counties with heavy and difficult tasks. We should comprehensively investigate and sort out the problems, formulate rectification measures and implementation plans, and promote the implementation of rectification as a whole. We should strengthen the rectification of prominent problems, effectively improve the effectiveness of rectification, and vigorously rectify formalism and bureaucracy. We should strengthen the exploration, summary and popularization of experience and practices, and improve the work level. Hu Chunhua stressed that the Rural Revitalization system should actively act and fully perform its responsibilities. We should use the method of development to consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation, take increasing the income of the people out of poverty as the fundamental measure, take promoting the accelerated development of poverty alleviation counties as the main direction, and steadily improve the level of comprehensive security. We should accelerate the key work of comprehensively promoting rural revitalization, focus on industries to promote rural development, solidly and steadily promote rural construction, and strengthen and improve rural governance. Responsible comrades in charge of provincial (District, city) Party committees and governments, relevant responsible comrades of assessment and evaluation departments, and main responsible comrades of county Party committees and governments listed for supervision attended the meeting on site or by video.
