The Royal Portuguese Library of Brazil was designed by Portuguese architect Rafael da Silva Castro. It was built from 1880 to 1887 and adopts the new Manuel design style. The library has been open to the public since 1900, with more than 350000 volumes of Portuguese books and works. It is currently the library with the largest collection of Portuguese books and works outside Portugal. The colorful glass dome, chandeliers and wooden bookshelves in the museum are exquisitely designed, attracting a large number of tourists every year. (Xinhua News Agency)
