The 114th chairman's meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress was held at the Great Hall of the people in Beijing on the morning of November 11, presided over by Chairman Li Zhanshu. The meeting decided that the 34th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress will be held in Beijing from April 18 to 20. The chairman's meeting suggested that the 34th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress consider the draft futures and derivatives law, the revised draft vocational education law, the revised draft sports law, the draft black land protection law and the revised draft law on the protection of women's rights and interests. According to the Constitution and relevant laws, the term of office of the 13th National People's Congress will expire in March 2023, and the deputies to the 14th National People's Congress will be elected in January 2023. The fifth session of the 13th National People's Congress adopted a decision on the number of deputies to the 14th National People's Congress and the election. Accordingly, the chairman's meeting of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress formulated a draft plan for the distribution of deputies to the 14th National People's Congress, a draft plan for the distribution of deputies from ethnic minorities to the 14th National People's Congress, and a draft plan for Taiwan Province to attend the consultation and election of deputies to the 14th National People's Congress, which was recommended to be deliberated at the 34th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress. The chairman's meeting suggested that the 34th meeting of the standing committee consider the proposal of the State Council on submitting for deliberation and approval the protocol on Amending the agreement of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on Regional Anti-Terrorism agencies signed in St. Petersburg (Russian Federation) on June 7, 2002, and the proposal on submitting for deliberation and approval the 1930 forced labor convention Proposal on submitting for deliberation and ratification of the 1957 Convention on the abolition of forced labour. The chairman's meeting suggested that the 34th meeting of the standing committee consider the report of the State Council on the environmental situation and the completion of environmental protection objectives in 2021; To examine the report of the credentials committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on the credentials of individual deputies; To consider the appointment and removal cases. The chairman's meeting deliberated and adopted the main points of the work of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress in 2022 and the work plan for legislation, supervision and deputies, and deliberated and adopted the working procedures of the sessions of the National People's Congress.
