On the 30th, the Chinese medicine expert group of central aid to Hong Kong exchanged views in Hong Kong and inspected community isolation facilities. That morning, the expert group visited the Department of health of the HKSAR Government and met with the director of health, Dr. Lin Wenjian, relevant colleagues and a number of public health experts to understand the latest development and situation of the epidemic in Hong Kong and the arrangements of the "juan anti epidemic" plan for close contacts. Lin Wenjian thanked the central government for sending another expert group to support Hong Kong, and pointed out that the expert group has brought professional support in the fight against the epidemic of traditional Chinese medicine to Hong Kong, and appropriate guidance will further strengthen the role of traditional Chinese medicine in the prevention and control of the epidemic in Hong Kong. After that, the expert group held a meeting with Hu liangzihui, chairman of the Hong Kong Chinese medicine Regulatory Commission, Dr. Wang Ruyue, chairman of the Chinese medicine group, and the chairmen of relevant groups. The participants exchanged views on the regulation and development of traditional Chinese medicine in Hongkong, and discussed in depth the fight against COVID-19 by Chinese medicine. The expert group also shared the experience of the mainland in coping with the epidemic. In the afternoon, the expert group visited the isolation facilities of hongshuiqiao community in Yuen Long, accompanied by Deng Bingqiang, Secretary for security of the SAR government, personnel of the social welfare department and the hospital authority. The facility is divided into two parts, which are used as general community isolation facilities and temporary care centers for the elderly. The former is managed by the anti epidemic task force of the Security Bureau. The Chinese medicine expert group of central assistance to Hong Kong has a total of 7 people, led by Tong Xiaolin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. At the invitation of the HKSAR government, they arrived in Hong Kong on the morning of the 29th for an inspection, fully cooperated with the HKSAR Government in epidemic prevention and control, and focused on providing guidance and suggestions on the application of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of patients and the prevention of severe diseases.
