2022-03-25

Since the sudden change of the situation in Ukraine, the Party Central Committee and the State Council have been highly concerned about the safety of every compatriot in Ukraine. With the close coordination and full cooperation of various departments, localities and front and rear sides, the vast majority of Chinese citizens in Ukraine have completed the evacuation. From March 5 to 21, 19 temporary flights for evacuating Chinese citizens from Ukraine have returned home safely. Xinhua News Agency reporters recently interviewed a number of Chinese citizens who were safely evacuated home. In an interview, they said that after the sudden change in the situation, the party and the government timely organized the safety of compatriots in Ukraine to provide help to compatriots in difficulties. A series of consular protection measures have strength, temperature and attitude, which let us see the responsibility and responsibility of the party and the government to protect the lives and safety of overseas compatriots. "Rapid action and orderly organization" At about 14:00 on March 6, a temporary flight from Bucharest, the capital of Romania, to evacuate Chinese citizens from Ukraine arrived safely at Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport. 235 compatriots returned to the motherland smoothly. Wang Haizhen, Chinese President of the Confucius Institute of the State University of technology in Vinica, Ukraine and associate professor of the school of foreign languages of Lanzhou University of technology, is one of them. "Every time the embassy notifies the news, it is very timely, fast and organized." On the morning of February 24, Wang Haizhen received a message from the Chinese Embassy in Ukraine: "stay at home, don't go out and stay away from the window, keep your mobile phone unblocked, sort out your documents and belongings, and always pay attention to the notice of the embassy." Shortly thereafter, the local air defense alarm sounded. On the 25th, she received a notice from the Embassy on evacuation registration. In addition to relying on various wechat groups for notification, the embassy also verified by telephone one by one to ensure the accuracy of the information. Stepping into the cabin, the bright five-star red flag on one side of the seat made Wang Haizhen's eyes burst into tears. "I felt very down-to-earth at that moment. This experience made me feel that the motherland is our strong backing." Xu Wen, 34, who lives in Kharkov, Ukraine's second largest city, is an employee of the plate making factory in Yuncheng, Ukraine. On the morning of March 11, Xu Wen and his family arrived safely in Shenyang on the tenth temporary flight to evacuate Chinese citizens from Ukraine. Xu Wen said that his window in Kharkov's house was blown up. When he was most helpless, the Embassy told him that "you will be able to go home safely", which made him feel at ease. "Thank all the embassy and consulate staff who helped me along the way. They work efficiently, reliably and warmly." Xu Wen said. Wang Zhiyuan is a graduate student of the National University of Aeronautics and Astronautics of rakovsky, Ukraine. On March 11, he arrived in Shenyang on a temporary flight with 14 Chinese students who were traveling with him. Wang Zhiyuan said that when the explosions came closer and closer to the school, the students were more and more nervous. The news released by the embassy about the evacuation gave them a reassurance and the most secure sleep in several days. "We have returned to our motherland and the staff of our embassies and consulates are still sticking to Ukraine. I hope they will pay attention to their safety and protect themselves. I sincerely thank them for their help." Wang Zhiyuan said. "Solidarity and mutual support" "Looking back on the days and nights since February 24, I still feel very unreal, but it really happened to me." Fang Wenhan, 28, a Chinese student, returned home on a temporary flight on March 14 and is currently being quarantined in a designated hotel. Despite nearly 10 years of life experience in Ukraine, she was somewhat caught off guard by the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Fang Wenhan recalled that on the morning of February 24, after confirming that the situation had changed, she checked the information on the Embassy website for the first time and was ready to evacuate to Warsaw, the capital of Poland, with her friends by taking the opportunity to take Lvov near the Polish border according to the situation. During the transfer, Fang Wenhan also tried his best to help other Chinese citizens evacuate from the border. After arriving in Warsaw, the Chinese Embassy in Poland and the local chamber of commerce actively helped the Chinese citizens evacuated from Ukraine to report information and contact the return channels. After about 12 hours of flight, the flight landed safely at Hangzhou Xiaoshan airport at about 10:30 a.m. on March 15. The personnel on board were immediately sent to Nanxun District of Huzhou for isolation. Fang Han said: "I was very moved by the details of the preparation of the mask, but we only had to wait for more than 30 hours for the preparation of the mask." "In the whole process of returning home, each link can get the enthusiastic help of embassies and consulates, chambers of Commerce, overseas Chinese and other parties. Everyone is doing their part." Fang Wenhan said that at this special moment, we can deeply feel the warmth of our compatriots and the strength of our motherland. Wang Haizhen felt the same way. She said that she was deeply impressed by the solidarity and mutual assistance of local chambers of Commerce and the full support of local overseas Chinese. In times of crisis, everyone helped each other and shared weal and woe. On March 1, Wang Haizhen arrived at the border of Moldova from Vinica, Ukraine, waiting for compatriots from Kiev and other places to meet, and then arrived in Bucharest together on March 2. In Bucharest, the staff of the overseas Chinese Chamber of Commerce picked up more than 20 people from their party to their home. "An elder sister cooked noodles for everyone and filled three pots". The steaming noodles make them feel particularly warm when they travel for a long time. During the evacuation, the overseas Chinese sent fruits and biscuits to the local area. "Lucky and proud, I'm Chinese" At 7:22 a.m. on March 21, pan Chaowei sent a message in the wechat circle of friends: "finally returned to the embrace of the motherland, the sunrise is beautiful, and everything is safe." Pan Chaowei, 24, who lives in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, went to Sumei National Agricultural University in Ukraine to study for Postgraduates in 2021. On March 20, he returned home on a temporary flight and is currently quarantined in a designated hotel. Talking about his experiences these days, pan Chaowei couldn't stop crying. "At any time, I believe that the motherland is always behind us. The Embassy in Ukraine has always maintained close contact with us and organized our evacuation to Slovakia in an orderly manner." "Free board and lodging, meat and eggs, and hot rice." Pan Chaowei said, "for more than 10 days in Slovakia, the embassy and the chamber of Commerce have always been concerned about us. Afraid that we can't eat well, they drove more than 300 kilometers to buy us rice from Hungary." "The moment they got on the plane, they were still waiting at the airport. I was really moved!" Pan Chaowei said, "I'm very lucky and proud. I'm a Chinese." "The sky is very blue, and the dark clouds always disperse... From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank the motherland, the Embassy that has been paying behind the scenes, the overseas Chinese who have contributed money and effort, and all those who care about us - Slovakia on March 20, 2022." Pan Chaowei wrote in his diary. (Xinhua News Agency)
