From the perspective of grain variety structure, the output of two main grain varieties, rice and wheat, is generally stable and balanced. There is a gap between production and demand for corn and a large gap for soybeans, which need to be imported in large quantities. Food security is actually food security. "Soybean safety" involves "meat safety". Because imported soybeans are mainly used as feed, once the international supply and price fluctuate, the "meat, egg and milk" in the Chinese people's dinner plate will be directly affected. Therefore, if we want the Chinese people to "eat enough" and "eat well", we must optimize the layout, stabilize grain rations, stabilize corn, expand soybeans and oil, and ensure that the Chinese people's rice bowl is mainly filled with Chinese food. We must not have the wrong understanding that "we need not have as much as 1.8 billion mu of cultivated land, as long as we improve the level of science and technology".
