Ping An of China donated RMB 10 million worth of testing reagents and protective materials to the SAR government through Ping An public welfare foundation, which is expected to arrive in Hong Kong before the 15th of this month. Up to now, the group has donated more than 180 million yuan of donations and materials. Xindi's digiton announced to build 5g networks for 10 community isolation and treatment facilities and provide data cards for free borrowing. Digiton customers can also receive additional free local data and unlimited local call duration. In addition, SmarTone also provides 5g wireless network for front-line medical staff. The Hong Kong Federation of trade unions (FTU) recently received a donation of 5000 sets of quick detection boxes from the Hong Kong Federation of overseas Chinese associations to front-line workers and members in need. Huang Guo, chairman of the Federation of trade unions and member of the Legislative Council, said that the fifth wave of the epidemic is threatening, and the demand for epidemic prevention materials is increasing, especially for rapid detection boxes. He was very grateful to the Hong Kong Federation of overseas Chinese associations for donating anti epidemic materials. The Federation of trade unions would timely send them to front-line workers and members in need in different industries through trade unions, regional service offices and parliamentarians' offices, so that everyone could do a good job in anti epidemic work. The Li Ka Shing Foundation announced an additional HK $10 million to support public-private hospital collaboration, and a total of HK $5 million to six long-term funded institutions to help purchase two months of epidemic prevention and anti epidemic materials and emergency use.
