Dasio Castillo, President of the WTO General Council, said that the timing of the 12th ministerial conference will inject momentum into the work of the WTO and focus the discussion of relevant outcomes on key issues. The WTO Ministerial Conference is the highest decision-making authority of the WTO, which is generally held every two years. The 12th ministerial conference was originally scheduled to be held in Nursultan, the capital of Kazakhstan, in June 2020.
