According to the notice released on the website of the Russian Ministry of defense on the 10th, Russia and Belarus began to hold the "alliance determination-2022" joint military exercise in Belarus on the same day. The briefing said that the military exercise was held in accordance with the established arrangements of the two countries, with the purpose of stopping and counteracting external aggression, combating terrorism and protecting the national interests of the alliance in defensive operations. The exercise includes strengthening the defense of national borders, preventing armed infiltration, cutting off the delivery channels of weapons and ammunition, searching, blocking and eliminating illegal armed groups and enemy destruction and reconnaissance teams. The briefing also said that the exercise will last until February 20. The eastern Russian military region, the command organization of the armed forces of Belarus and relevant forces participated in the exercise. On December 8, 1999, Russia and Belarus signed the Treaty on the establishment of the Russia Belarus alliance, which stipulates that the two countries shall establish a confederation state while maintaining their national sovereignty, independence and national system.
