2022-01-26
A few days ago, the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Bureau and the Macao police jointly took action, successfully knocked out a cross-border organized criminal gang, arrested more than 40 suspect in Song Dynasty, and cracked 8 criminal cases. In October 2021, the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Bureau received a clue to a criminal gang that crossed the border illegally in Macao and the mainland, and immediately organized the Zhuhai Municipal Public Security Bureau to investigate the crime. It quickly found out the gang's organizational structure and locked the main suspect. As the case involves Macao and many provinces and cities in the mainland, the Ministry of public security attached great importance to it and specially deployed the network collection work of the case. On December 22, under the unified command of the Ministry of public security, the Public Security Department of Guangdong Province organized Zhuhai Public Security Bureau to send police forces to 11 provinces and cities including Beijing, Hebei and Liaoning, as well as Guangzhou and Zhongshan in the province to carry out centralized and unified network collection, and arrested 36 suspects including song. At the same time, the Macao police carried out simultaneous operations and successfully arrested six suspects including Shi in Macao. After investigation, the criminal gang operated in gambling halls around and inside Macao casinos, targeted gamblers and used low interest as bait to provide funds to gamblers who needed funds to continue gambling, and arranged special personnel to accompany gambling throughout the whole process, so as to monitor the actions of victims and "pump" profits on the spot. When the victim lost all the chips and was unable to repay the debt, the gang illegally detained the victim in a rented unit room or hotel room in Macao, and forced the victim to raise money to pay off the debt by means of violence such as beating and taking nude photos. At present, the case is under further investigation. (Xinhua News Agency)
