People's livelihood projects one belt, one road, and the other is a sense of national gain.

To build a "one belt, one road" is to pursue development and advocate win-win results, and hope is passed. People's livelihood project is an important way to quickly enhance people's sense of gain in the country. The "one belt, one road" initiative has been put forward for more than 8 years. China has achieved solid and heavy achievements along with the countries and regions along the route. Many "small and beautiful" projects participated by Chinese enterprises have effectively improved the people's livelihood of relevant countries and promoted the realization of "heart to heart connection" between China and the national people. Bamboo weaving techniques benefit thousands of families Thin and crisscross bamboo strips flit through the hands of Ghanaian boy sadane. After some exquisite work, and then decorated with local yellow, green, blue and red fabrics, fashionable and concise bamboo handbags can be put on the shelf. Such a bamboo handbag can sell for $10-17 in ganakumasi commercial street. The young sadane comes from bompata community in Ashanti region of Ghana, which is rich in bamboo. The local traditional bamboo woven products are relatively simple in workmanship and can not be sold at a good price in the market. In June 2021, the international bamboo and rattan organization held a bamboo weaving training course in Ghana, and sadane signed up for the first time. Through the careful teaching of Chinese bamboo masters, sadane has mastered a number of processes such as bamboo selection, blanking, surrounding folding, foot folding and so on. "Chinese bamboo weaving is very practical and can be quickly transformed into economic benefits. It has changed my understanding of bamboo weaving and changed my life." Sadane said that during the slack season, he can weave at least 10 handbags a month, with a maximum income of $170, more than twice the national minimum wage in Ghana, and far more than his income from farming. Sadane soon became a local famous bamboo trainer. At present, he has brought six disciples. "I want to be a big bamboo weaving industry in the future, tap more value of bamboo and help more small farmers improve their lives." Sadane is full of vision for the future. The bamboo weaving training course to change sadane's life is one of the "livelihood development projects for small farmers in Africa", which is initiated by the West Africa Regional Office of the international bamboo and rattan organization. Since 2019, with the support of the International Fund for agricultural development, the international bamboo and rattan organization has implemented the "livelihood development project for small farmers in Africa" in four countries including Ghana. By actively participating in the implementation of the project, China has taught the people of these African countries the knowledge of bamboo resource protection, the skills of bamboo woven products and the methods to improve the value chain of bamboo industry, so as to help local small farmers, women and youth groups increase their income and empower local social coordinated development and ecological protection. The spring of benefiting the people moistens the countryside In golai village, banteay Meanchey Province, Cambodia, villagers sosun gently turned on the tap, and the clear tap water began to flow. "Since our Chinese friends helped us drill three wells, the big problem of domestic water has finally been solved!" Soson said excitedly. Golai village is located in a remote area with complex geological conditions. Villagers have tried to dig wells for generations and ended in failure. Every dry season, the villagers worry about water. "In the past, we didn't have tap water here. In the dry season, we had to pull water more than ten kilometers away, and there was only one car at a time. People who didn't have their turn had to borrow water or buy water from water merchants. The price was expensive and not enough." Soson said. Until November 2019, the second phase of China aided rural water supply project in Cambodia was started, and the situation changed. The project plans to build 54 community ponds and 964 deep water wells in 10 provinces of Cambodia. The new water wells now used in golai village are the results of the project. In the process of project construction, complex geological conditions bring severe tests to the construction. During the peak period of construction, multiple teams are working at more than a dozen locations at the same time. In some areas, it is necessary to drill for many times to obtain clean water with qualified water quality. After one year's efforts of the builders, three water wells have been delivered to golai village in November 2020. Today, villagers use clean tap water for washing, cooking and irrigating farmland. "We will always remember the friendship of Chinese friends." Soson said. Since the construction of the first phase of China aided rural water supply project in Cambodia in 2017, China has assisted in the construction of more than 1800 deep water wells and nearly 130 community ponds in 16 provinces of Cambodia, effectively solving the shortage of drinking water sources and water sanitation problems of rural residents, and improving the quality of life and production conditions of villagers. Zhan Darong, State Secretary of the Ministry of rural development of Cambodia, said that the project is of great significance to rural poverty reduction in Cambodia. Vegetable and fruit greenhouses wade out of a new agricultural road In the Pacific island country of Samoa, the farmer mapusu was busy in the vegetable shed. When he saw all kinds of lush vegetables in the shed, mapusu's face was full of happy smiles. Mapusu has operated the farm for some years, mainly planting taro, but the planting method is simple and extensive, lacking technical content. Local vegetable varieties are small in size and low in disease and insect resistance. After years of hard work, mapusu's income is still limited. Under the framework of China's agricultural technical assistance project to Samoa, Chinese agricultural technical experts came to Samoa to impart advanced agricultural technology and experience to local farmers, assisted in the construction of the largest comprehensive demonstration farm, 9 agricultural stations and 100 demonstration farmers' agricultural extension system in Pacific island countries, and trained tens of thousands of people in total. Local media praised "China's promotion of Samoa's agricultural development" and helping farmers "embark on the highway of success". Mapusu is one of the members of "embarking on the highway of success". With the help of Chinese experts, he built two vegetable greenhouses. Drip irrigation facilities were installed in the original 200 mu taro field, tractors were used to level the land, improved varieties were used for crops, and new varieties such as cucumber, watermelon, pumpkin and eggplant were added. "In just one year, vegetable production increased significantly, and the income exceeded 100000 Taras (1 Tara, about 2.6 yuan), an increase of two times." Mapusu told reporters that before the introduction of Chinese vegetable greenhouses and vegetable varieties, it was a luxury for local people to eat vegetables. The local price of imported green pepper was as high as 50 Tara per kilogram. Now, the number of vegetable varieties in Samoa has increased from more than 10 to more than 30, which is 2 / 3 cheaper. The situation of fruits has also changed greatly. Watermelon has decreased from 20 Tara per kilogram to 7 Tara, ending the history of Samoa's total import of watermelon. With good market sales, mapusu, who tasted the sweetness, built another 10 greenhouses. "Chinese technology allows more Samoans to eat fresh vegetables and fruits, and also gives me the opportunity to run a farm." Mapsu said. In November 2021, Samoan Prime Minister fiyame led all cabinet ministers to inspect the demonstration farm of Chinese aid to Samoa, thanked the Chinese expert group for its hard work and praised that Chinese technology has found a new way for Samoa's agricultural development with less investment, good results and wide benefits. The novel coronavirus pneumonia, which has frustrated the tourism industry and plunged investment, has been developing vigorously in agriculture and has great potential for development in Samoa.
